ITALIAN RENAISSANCE CLUB

"Let the Italian in your heart always be a part of you."

The Club was started in June 1995 to promote cultural activities that will stimulate
interest in Italian heritage; promote an understanding of traditions and customs
of Italian living in America; to stimulate an interest in the Italian language and the
history of the civilization of Italy. Further, to acquaint the American people with the contributions made by Italian Americans in the building of America; to develop
awareness and appreciation of Italian intellectual contributions and influence on
western civilization.
The Italian Renaissance Club has provided several financial scholarships to high
school students of Southbury, who are of Italian heritage, and are college bound.
Their continued education must be in music, art, literature or Italian language.
