A non-profit membership corporation, assumed the functions set forth in its charter: to engage in research, communication and action for the general welfare, health, comfort, safety, convenience and economic interests of unit owners and residents of Heritage Village; to promote efficiency in town government as related to Heritage Village, and to see equality in matters of state and local taxes.

In others words, the Civic Association was set up to do "everything good" for everyone in the Village and answerable only to its members.
WORKING TO MAKE THE VILLAGE A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE
Patient Transportation Service - provides rides to medical appointments to residents
Special Events - flu clinics, blood drives, health fairs
Energy Conservation Committee - current information on energy costs, intervenes to keep utility rates as low as possible, conservation advice, pilot projects on energy conservation to the Village
Community Concern Fund - medical expenses aid
Pennies for Heat Annual Drive -collects donations for heating bills through the Town Fuel Bank
