A Word to the Wise
Mea Culpa or Xerox Culpa BUT.....!
It has been brought to my attention that The Soundboard is not always issued in a timely fashion, a lapse which often results in news of Computer Club events appearing after the fact. True! Sometimes I just can't get my act together or, as in this case, I just returned on Tuesday afternoon (10/3) from a wonderful trip to Switzerland. Enough for human frailty.
The other hitch is mechanical. Recently, my copy sat for one week when the Activities Building was closed for sand blasting and this week I lost time to the Columbus Day holiday. Unavoidable delay! On other occasions the delay is a result of xerox breakdown or higher priority. Enough of reasons and excuses. BUT
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO MISS EVENTS
Make a point of using your computer to access the HVCC monthly calendar. Under the guidance of our Webmaster, Ken Pelletier, a volunteer staff works diligently for several hours every Tuesday evening to prepare informative pages on our site. Log into: www.heritagevillage.org > Clubs-New > Computer Club> Calendar and print a copy for reference. Since changes do occur, it is wise to recheck the site from time to time.
You can also discover events on Channel 3 as well as in the Weekly Bulletin.
I am always doing that which I cannot do, in order that I may learn how to do it.
