Next step is to put your Windows installation CD into the DC-ROM drive. Now type in the drive letter for your CD-ROM drive. In my case it was G:\, but in most cases it will be D:\. Press ENTER. Now type "setup" (without quotes), hit the ENTER key, and follow the computer's instructions. The installation takes a little time, but there's not much for you to do but watch and wait. When asked for a name, not wanting to give my own, I just put in a nonsense word. After Windows was installed, I installed the Office CD. This time the address book was empty. (Hooray!) We're done. This program was unleashed this week and has the attributes of a virus and a worm. Viruses attach themselves to other programs while worms propel
themselves through computer networks. The best way to avoid infection, experts advised, is not to open e-mail attachments from unknown sources and to keep antivirus software up to date. Once a computer is infected, special software may be needed to repair any damaged files. Microsoft Outlook users appear the most vulnerable.
