Trinity College, Hartford was more difficult because so many institutions of higher learning use Trinity in their names. The next step is to go to a search engine and type in the full name, city, state and you should get the information you need to travel to its Website.

Computers - In a Comic Vein

A student asked, "What gender is a computer?" providing the teacher with a research project. the class was divided into two groups - one entirely male, the other entirely female - and set to the task of identifying the gender of a computer.
The women concluded computers are masculine because:
1. In order to get their attention, you have to turn them on.
2. They have a lot of data but are essentially clueless.
3. They are supposed to help you solve problems, but half the time they ARE the problem.
4. As soon as you commit to one, you realize that if you had waited a little longer, you could have had a better model.

The men decided computers are feminine because:
1. No one but their creator understands their internal logic.
2. The native language they use to communicate is incomprehensible to everyone else.
3. Even your smallest mistakes are stored in long-term memory banks for later retrieval.
4. As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending half your pay check on accessories for it.

Did you know that the Main Library at Indiana University sinks over an inch each year because when it was built, engineers failed to take into account the weight of all the books that would occupy the building?

Online Privacy

The Internet industry may believe that self-regulation is the best way to handle online privacy, but consumers appar-ently do not. Eighty-two percent of online households agree strongly or at least somewhat with the statement, "The government needs to step in and regulate how companies can use personal information." Ninety-two percent agree with the statement, "I don't trust companies to keep personal information about me confidential, no matter what they promise."
What is striking is how many people already want the government to intervene. "If Internet companies don't do something pretty quickly to address these concerns, Congress will."
Despite the qualms about privacy, online shopping continues to surge. For many people, the benefits of online purchasing outweigh their privacy concerns. However, the lack of privacy might be a serious issue that could slow the development of this medium.
